Develop your level of artistic expression and build your visual communication talents in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art program at Molloy University. Whether you’re pursuing a career in studio art, studying art history, art therapy or seeking a studio experience, Molloy’s rigorous, hands-on curriculum and committed faculty can help you achieve your individual goals.

At Molloy, you’ll benefit from:

  • A choice of concentrations to pursue your passion. Choose from drawing, painting, digital art, graphic design, photography, ceramics, sculpture or art history. We also offer minors in art therapy, museum studies, digital art, graphic design, art history, photography and studio art.

Music

Develop your artistic voice and further your skills in music technology, music composition, performance, or in other areas outside of music at Molloy University. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), our Bachelor of Science in music program offers you the flexibility to pursue your own educational path—with a minor in a related discipline or even a second major—while fulfilling your academic and artistic goals.

At Molloy, you’ll be able to:

  • Work with accomplished professionals. Learn from a faculty of accomplished artists with international careers as performers and creative musicians, as well as from guest artists from around the globe who perform, lecture, and teach master classes at Molloy.

  • Focus on music performance and you’ll be trained to develop a career as a performing artist through your work with our competitive pool of music instructors and experience performing in a variety of ensemble settings.

Music Therapy

Make a difference in someone’s life with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Molloy University. The only undergraduate music therapy program in this region approved by the American Music Therapy Association, at Molloy you’ll be prepared to use your talents, and the unique power of music, to promote health and well-being in the lives of children and adults with special needs.

  • An interdisciplinary, accredited program.Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, Molloy emphasizes developmental health across the lifespan, incorporates music coursework to develop your musicianship skills, as well as coursework in psychology to provide models for evaluations and treatment of clinical populations.

  • Extensive hands-on training.You’ll have the opportunity to apply what you learn in the classroom with supervised field experiences at schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes and psychiatric centers in the greater metropolitan area as well as at the Rebecca Center for Music Therapy, Molloy’s on-campus music therapy clinic.

Theatre Arts (CAP21)

Are you ready to take the stage? Audition for the Theatre Arts/CAP21 program at Molloy University. At Molloy, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree that gives you a well-rounded liberal arts education on our vibrant Long Island campus—and the New York City professional theatre surroundings of CAP21.

At Molloy, you’ll:

  • Experience a unique suburban/urban collaborative environment. Students enrolled in the program move together through their courses both on Molloy’s Rockville Centre campus, located 40 minutes outside of New York City, and at Molloy/CAP21’s state-of-the-art Manhattan Center located at 50 Broadway.
  • Receive the highest level of practical and academic preparation for professional theatre. You’ll take a variety of academic and studio classes, including acting, voice (both ensemble and individual), jazz and ballet—and receive weekly private voice lessons all four years.
  • Work one-on-one with top professionals. Faculty with Broadway credentials lead our studio classes, which are kept small so you can get individualized attention to hone your skills and advance your career.
  • Gain hands-on experience with a variety of performance opportunities, all designed to support you in the development and refinement of your musical theatre performance skills.
