Theatre Arts (CAP21)
Are you ready to take the stage? Audition for the Theatre Arts/CAP21 program at Molloy University. At Molloy, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree that gives you a well-rounded liberal arts education on our vibrant Long Island campus—and the New York City professional theatre surroundings of CAP21.
At Molloy, you’ll:
- Experience a unique suburban/urban collaborative environment. Students enrolled in the program move together through their courses both on Molloy’s Rockville Centre campus, located 40 minutes outside of New York City, and at Molloy/CAP21’s state-of-the-art Manhattan Center located at 50 Broadway.
- Receive the highest level of practical and academic preparation for professional theatre. You’ll take a variety of academic and studio classes, including acting, voice (both ensemble and individual), jazz and ballet—and receive weekly private voice lessons all four years.
- Work one-on-one with top professionals. Faculty with Broadway credentials lead our studio classes, which are kept small so you can get individualized attention to hone your skills and advance your career.
- Gain hands-on experience with a variety of performance opportunities, all designed to support you in the development and refinement of your musical theatre performance skills.
- Get the skills you need to launch your career. Our comprehensive program provides a solid foundation in audition technique as well as training in the business aspects of professional theatre to assist you in launching a professional career and achieving life-long success as a theatre artist.
