Get up close and personal with all matter of human, plant and cell life—and get a jump-start on an exciting career—with a degree in biology from Molloy. Whether you’re looking for a future in scientific research, teaching, medicine or dentistry, our integrated and diverse programs are a great place to start.

At Molloy, you’ll benefit from:

  • Your choice of career-focused tracks. Go with the general biology track, or focus your studies with the pre-professional medical programs track if you’d like to be a doctor or dentist, or pre-allied medical programs track if your goal is to be a physician assistant or therapist.
  • Hands-on experience. You’ll complete at least one semester of field experience—and have an opportunity to participate in original research (depending on your track) with faculty.
  • Working with leading professionals in class—and the lab. The same expert who works with you in the classroom also acts as your lab instructor (not a lab assistant).
  • Individualized attention. Your faculty-mentor will help you fine-tune your research skills, make better career choices and build personal and professional confidence.
  • Access to state-of-the-art lab facilities. Our labs easily facilitate protocols in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, fluorescence microscopy, tissue culture and forensics. You’ll also have access to our Center for Environmental Research and Coastal Oceans Monitoring, a 2,500-square foot lab in the West Sayville Boat Basin.
